Dr. Livingstone, I presume? These were the famous words that were said to be uttered when two of the world's most famous explorers - Dr. David Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley - met at the location of Burundi's Livingstone-Stanley Monument, which overlooks Lake Tanganyika. While the date 25 November, 1871 is etched in the rock of the monument, it isn't actually the true date of their first meeting - though it certainly makes for a great story! But the important thing is that they did, in fact, make the etching during a brief layover before continuing on their legendary adventure. It is a place that all PlanetHoppers! should make their way to, as it symbolizes the lust for adventure that lies within us all.
