Go for the trifecta with a trek to the summit of Equatorial Guinea's Pico Basilé. Located on the island of Bioko, the mountain is the largest of three overlapping volcanoes that come together to form the island. The trek is long and strenuous and ultimately takes you to an altitude of 3,011 m (9,878 ft), where you can see some amazing views far in the distance. This is one of Western Africa's classic journeys and should be a highlight on any visit to the region.
