Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya is an exceptional place to see the migration of animals. Picture a vast plain filled with thousands of Thomson's Gazelle, wildebeest or zebras and you still may not understand the scope of how immense the migration of animals through reserve is, so much so that it is called the "Great Migration". If that was not enough, all of the Big 5 – lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and Black Rhinoceros – can be found here. But perhaps the most famous resident of the reserve are the Masai, the long-legged, colorful people who do the distinctive jumping dance called adumu. With so much to see in one place, this is perhaps the ultimate destination in all of East Africa. Not to be missed on any account.
