Kruger National Park
Keep a running tally on the number of Big 5 members that you spot during a safari through South Africa's Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest and best-protected wildlife reserves. The park is part of the wider Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, which includes national parks in Zimbabwe and Mozambique and provides the habitat for an enormous variety of species of native flora and fauna. But let's be honest, the main attraction are the Big 5 - lion, African elephant, cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros - and if there is anywhere in Africa where you have a decent chance to check them all off your list, it's here. So make sure not to leave Kruger off your itinerary!
