This is evident from the Kendeja National Cultural Centre and Liberian National Museum, which help to tell the story of how the Liberia of today came to be. But don't worry; it's not all history, as Liberia also had some of the best nature reserves in the entire region, typified by the stunning Sapo National Park, where you can view such unique wildlife as the pygmy hippopotamus and African forest elephant. In many ways Liberia is Africa's very own melting pot, where the old and new have come to together to form a unique blend all its own.
