Himalayan Snowman Trek
Brave the highest peaks in the world by taking a Snowman Trek through the Himalayas. It is perhaps the most difficult trek in Bhutan – if not the entire world – and is not recommended for everyone. But if you're a PlanetHopper! who can push your limits, you will pass through gorgeous, wild country reaching heights of 16,000 ft. Depending on your tour guide - because you must absolutely have one - the entire trek will take up to three weeks, including days to acclimatize to the height, but also days of rest to refresh yourself along the way at remote, charming villages. You will pass through the Lunana region of Bhutan, one of the least visited areas of the world, but perhaps the most beautiful. Other highlights include Drukgeyl Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang and Ta Dzong, important historical sites. Trek packages are offered by a number of tour operators and can be booked online. So, think very carefully before you decide to become a "snowman". You do not have to be fearless – just determined!
