Ranthambore National Park
Keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of a tiger at Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park, one of the largest national parks in all of India. In times past, Ranthambore used to be the hunting ground of the Mahrajas of Jaipur. Although hunting is no longer allowed, this is far and away the best place in India to see the majestic stripped denizens of the forest with spottings common even during the day. There are various tiger and bird watching tours available and a number of hotels and resorts nearby. It is one of India's greatest conservation achievements and stands as a shining example to many other Asian reserves. While many will forever talk about the Big 5, there is something just as incredible about seeing a massive tiger stalking through the forest. It ranks right up there with anything that you will see in Africa.
