Malaysia Quick Travel Guide
With a travel rating of 60%, Malaysia can best be described as a travel juggernaut that will do its absolute best to win your over with its seemingly endless array of beautiful and interesting destinations. Topping the list is the mighty city of Kuala Lumpur – a Mecca to the modern and the old - where you can visit the historic Batu Caves, the National Mosque, Thean Hou Temple (one of the largest Chinese temples in South-East Asia), climb the heights of the massive Petronas Towers, search out that perfect meal in one of the city's endless restaurants, cool off in the picturesque Genting Highlands - and do a little bit of gambling too. But you shouldn't spend all of your time in the urban jungle, as the real jungles beckons in the form of Malaysian Borneo, located just a short plane trip to the east. Here, wildlife is the order of the day. There are a number of fantastic national parks to explore, including Bako National Park an excellent introduction to the rainforests of Borneo. Don't pass on Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, where you can see some of the cutest "redheads" to be found anywhere in the world. Onward to perhaps the shiniest gem in the Malaysian crown - it's beaches. From the Perhentian Islands, to Langkawi, you'll find endless sand beaches that will make you think that you've died and gone to heaven. So, if you're looking for a little bit of everything and loads of it, Malaysia is definitely the place that you've been searching for.
