Bob Marley Museum
Enjoy some of reggae's most classic tunes when you tour the portals of Jamaica's Bob Marley Museum. Located in the capital of Kingston, it contains the home and recording studio of the world's most famous reggae musician, who brought to life such classic tunes as I Shot the Sheriff, No woman, No cry, and Buffalo Soldier. This is also the location of a failed assassination attempt on the legendary singer in 1976. Some highlights from the guided tour include an extensive photo gallery, Marley's gold and platinum discs, his bedroom and kitchen, the bullet-holed walls from the assassination attempt, a 20 minute film on Marley's life in the Tuff Gong studio, and a "medicinal" herb garden. Making a visit here is simply put cool and could very well transform your entire taste for music. So all we can say is enjoy, but just remember that growing dreadlocks is a serious commitment that shouldn't be undertaken lightly by any PlanetHopper!
