Stroll around Saint Barthélemy's enchanting capital of Gustavia, where fashionable boutiques and cafés blend - seemingly without effort - with the three 17th century forts that rim the city on all sides. There are few places in all of the Caribbean where you can experience such a wide range of activities in the course of a single day. The choice is yours as to where you would like to start, but one option is to begin the day with a hike to Fort Gustave and its charming lighthouse and canons. Take tour of Marine Reserve Park, or dip below the waters on the Yellow Submarine. While you're near the harbor, take a tour of the Wall House Museum, a restored historic building dating back to the 18th century. Then you can grab some lunch at any number of fantastic eateries on your way to Shell Beach, located just to the south of the city, for some well-earned beach time. After you're absorbed your quota of UV, head back into the city for some late afternoon shopping, before enjoying a delicious dinner at a harbor-side restaurant and watching the sun dip below the glorious Caribbean.
