Dominica Quick Travel Guide
With a travel rating of 46%, Dominica is what you would have to class as a "bit off the beaten track". Getting here isn't as simple as hopping on a plane from any capital city around the world, but requires a bit more planning. However, for those who do make the effort, they will be rewarded with the perfect destination to enjoy an invigorating outdoor holiday across an island that features everything from forests, to canyons, to volcanic landscapes with thermal lakes, and options for rock climbing and canyoning. One of the best places to "push the limit" is at Morne Trois Pitons National Park, where you can trek through the hot springs of Titou Gorge, circumnavigate the boiling Boeri Lake, and cool off under fantastic Emerald and Trafalgar Falls. You can continue your exploration underwater at the stunning Champagne Reef, where volcanic gases seep through the sea floor, creating an awesome display of bubbles - which amazingly the fish don't seem to mind. Back on the surface, wander through Papillote Topical Gardens, home to a fantastic variety of flora and fauna. Cap your trip by attending the World Creole Music Festival, which features some of the best creole musicians from all over the world. Unlike many of its other Caribbean counterparts, Dominica definitley has a lot more to offer beyond just sun and sand.
