St. Martin Quick Travel Guide
With a travel rating of 50%, St. Martin is like the Roman God Janus with two very distinct faces - one French, and the other Dutch (Sint Maarten). The French side is best known for its fantastic shopping and bevy of nude beaches, while the Dutch side is where you go to enjoy the raucous nightlife and to party like few other places in the Caribbean. One of the most interesting things about the place is to pass through the quaint border crossing, which is an interesting experience considering how small the island is. If you're feeling especially adventurous, you can join a Harley Davidson tour that will take you to all of the island's hotspots (both French and Dutch). One of the most interesting places to visit is the world-famous Maho Beach, where you can experience the power of a full sized jumbo jet as it comes in for landing at Princess Juliana International Airport. Just keep an eye on the daily flight schedule to avoid being physically blown into the water! If you can brave Maho, then you'll be prepared for Loterie Farm's adrenaline pumping "Fly Zone Extreme", the ultimate obstacle course of zip lines through lush jungle canopy. The fish and coral in Oyster Pond, Prickly Pear, and Proselyte Reef will leave you breathless. And the many casinos, like the Hollywood Casino and Casino Royale, will set you on edge at the roll of each dice. While it might seem that a trip to Saint Martin is all about jacking up the heart rate, there's also a more laid back side with miles of pristine beach waiting for you after an action packed day of fun. St. Martin has many faces, but they're all equally interesting.

Bring your earplugs, along with your towel, for a day of sun at Sint Maarten's Maho Beach, perhaps the only beach in the entire world where you can literally wave - and be seen - by passengers on jumbo jets as they whiz by right ....
