Climb through the clouds as you trek towards the summit of the Azores' Mount Pico, the highest mountain in the region, as well as all of Portugal. Reaching to a height of 2,351 meters (7,713 ft) this seems all the more gigantic when viewed from sea level and in actuality one of the tallest mountains in the world ,if measured from its base far below the surface of the Atlantic. Hiking trails are available, and the ascent to the summit can be made in around two to four hours. So, keep your eyes firmly on the goal and start preparing the story of how you climbed one of the highest peaks.
