Switzerland Quick Travel Guide
With a travel rating of 80%, Switzerland is known far and wide as the land of neutrality. But when it comes to being a travel destination, this couldn't be further from the truth. Switzerland goes out on just about every limb there is when it comes to providing some of Europe's best travel destinations - if not the world's. Chief among these is easily the iconic Swiss Alps with the majestic Matterhorn, providing one of the country's most unmistakable images. Whether it's a trek along the Matterhorn Circuit or a trip about the Glacier Express between the resort towns of St. Moritz and Zermatt - this is Switzerland at its very best. However, this is far from the end of the story. There are also a variety of festivals, including the Montreaux Jazz Festival and Basel Carnival that will give a view of the locals that screams out against the reserved stereotype. Or perhaps history is more your cup of tea? Switzerland has a number of UNESCO-listed sites that include the Old City of Berne, the Market Town of Bellinzona, and the Convent of St. Gall. So, if you're looking for a place where no one is "sitting on the fence" searching for something to do, this is the place.
