Lose yourself in Stanley Park, an oasis of wilderness along English Bay in fantastic Vancouver, Canada. This thousand acres of forests, contains trees that stand over 75 meters tall (~250 ft), has over a hundred miles of trails, including a Seawall path that circles the park and offers breathtaking views of the city, is home to a the Vancouver Aquarium, and several gorgeous beaches. There are opportunities to roller blade, cycle, hike, and kayak, or take a ride on the Miniature Railway or even a horse-draw tour. Not to be missed is Prospect Point, which offers stunning views of First Narrows and Lions Gate Bridge. Other highlights include a view of Siwash Rock, Lost Lagoon, the Girl in a Wetsuit statue, the Nine O'clock Gun, and the colorfully painted Totem Poles near Brockton Point, which are a reminder of the First Nation people who originally inhabited the area. Rivaling New York City's Central Park, no trip to Vancouver would be complete without a day (or two) in Stanley Park. It's one of the best parks in the world. Period.
