Take a hair-raising journey along Ecuador's Devil's Nose, a rail line between the towns of Riobamba and Alausí. The line was originally built to connect the Andes Mountains with the coast and is widely considered to have been one of the most difficult lines ever constructed - but also one of the most exciting. With a route that traverses a number of death-defying switchbacks, the train makes its way up and down the steep slopes, one of which is the Devil's Nose, a sheer rock face overlooking a virtual abyss. It's enough to scare a year off your life!
